Exploring the South Indian Temple Hall at the Philadelphia Museum of Art

This is not so much a blog as a supplement to my masterpiece essay in the WSJ about the 16th-century temple hall at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The images begin with the two sculptures at the entrance to the gallery (in slide show above) followed by some of the reliefs and figures on the columns set up as a temple hall or mandapa.
